What is it? |
The Presidio was an army post for Spain, Mexico, and the United States over the course of 218 years! Now it is one of San Francisco’s most beautiful and historic public parks! |
What makes it beautiful? |
Both naturally and artificially, this is a beautifully landscaped park. Even though eucalyptus is invasive in the Bay Area, the huge groves here look and smell amazing. Oh, and a stroll through Crissy Marsh, one of the Bay Area’s last salt marshes, gives visitors a chance to see some beautiful flowers, cheerful water birds, and excellent views of the Golden Gate Bridge! |
