Volunteer with School on Wheels!

School on Wheels
What is it? The mission of School on Wheels is to tutor homeless children around Southern California to increase education and give them a better chance of succeeding in life!
What makes it wonderful? California has the second highest homeless rate in the country, and over 40% of homeless families have young children. It’s hard enough finding enough food to eat, let alone afford school, and without education, it’s even harder to break the cycle of homelessness. What’s wonderful about School on Wheels is that it provides kids with one-on-one tutoring, school supplies, and assistance entering the school system to give them the most opportunities for success!

At the Step Forward Day event, School on Wheels broke the Guinness World Record for the Longest Backpack Line, with over 2,710 donated backpacks! Every one of these backpacks will be given to a homeless child!
