The Anderson Valley Historical Museum!

Anderson Valley Historical Museum
What is it? The Anderson Valley Historical Museum holds a treasure trove of local history in its Little Red Schoolhouse and surrounding buildings!
What makes it historical? This cozy little museum gives a great glimpse into the founding of tiny, rural towns! It houses all sorts of local artifacts, cataloguing the heritage and genealogy of the local families! The Anderson Valley is named for William Anderson and his family, who stumbled into the valley with his friends, Henry and Isaac Beeson, while hunting elk! The fertile soil here was great for growing apples, the one cash crop that could withstand the long journey out of the valley, alongside some hard cider! There’s also a neat exhibit on Boontling, the town’s own unique language, but I’ll detail that later!
