Crater Lake National Park!

Crater Lake National Park
What is it? Crater Lake National Park surrounds the deepest lake in America, formed from the ancient ruins of a volcano, Mount Mazama!
What makes it beautiful? I could sit and watch that clear blue water all day! It is endlessly calm here in the mountains of Oregon, where ground squirrels scurry about, and mysterious landforms like Wizard Island and the Phantom Ship float on the magical blue, as they have since long before humans lived in these parts!

Thanks to the clean mountain air, you can take in incredible views of Oregon’s greenery from the two fire mountaintop fire lookouts on either side of the lake! Then enjoy an exquisite sunset from any direction on any side of the lake!

How can I Help the Helpers? HERE’S HOW:

  • Pay the entrance fee and contribute toward trail and structural maintenance, sign design, and other visitor services!
  • Volunteer at Crater Lake National Park!
  • Donate to the Crater Lake Natural History Association!
  • Be a responsible visitor! Remember the old adages: Pack out what you pack in! Take nothing but pictures and leave nothing but footprints!
