The Midwest Theater!

Midwest Theater
What is it? The Midwest Theater is still open for movies, theater, and live music performances!
What makes it historical? The Midwest Theater rose from the ashes of the Egyptian Theater on May 3, 1946. It was designed in the Modernist style by Denver architect, Charles D. Strong, who himself had to rise from the ashes after the Great Depression destroyed his business! The theater’s 60-foot stainless steel tower features 132 aluminum stars backed by 68 spotlights, which could be seen from 20 miles away!
How can I Help the Helpers? HERE’S HOW:

  • See a show at the Midwest Theater!
  • Volunteer at the Midwest Theater!
  • Become a member of the Friends of the Midwest Theater!
  • Be a responsible visitor! Please respect the signs and pathways, and treat all structures and artifacts with respect. They’ve endured a lot to survive into the present. They’ll need our help to make it into the future!
