Independence National Historical Park!

Independence National Historical Park
What is it? Independence National Historical Park is made up of crucial sites to the birthplace of America, like Independence Hall, the Liberty Bell, the National Constitution Center, and more!
What makes it historical? Before Washington, DC was set aside as our nation’s capital, the birthplace and seat of US government was right here in Philadelphia! Here, in Independence Hall, the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution were debated and ratified, liberating the colonies from British rule and codifying the new nation’s government!

This park is home to such sites as the home where Thomas Jefferson drafted the Declaration of Independence, the first Congress Hall, President’s House, and Bank of the United States, and the Liberty Bell! It is also home to the National Constitution Center, where you can learn about the rights and limitations granted by our nation’s founding documents to your heart’s content!
