What is it? |
It’s the Utah State Capitol building! |
What makes it historical? |
Since 1916, this capitol building, designed by Utah architect, Richard K.A. Kletting, has been the center of the state’s government activities! It’s located on land originally used for munitions storage, formerly Arsenal Hill, now Capitol Hill. It took four years to build, and four years to renovate, one of the largest historical preservation projects in the US! |
How can I Help the Helpers? |
HERE’S HOW:
- Volunteer at the Utah State Capitol!
- Be a responsible visitor! Please respect the signs and pathways, and treat all structures and artifacts with respect. They’ve endured a lot to survive into the present. They’ll need our help to make it into the future!
