What is it? |
The Kelley House is the center for historical research on Mendocino and the surrounding area! |
What makes it historical? |
The Kellys (the “e” was added in the 1900s) were some of Mendocino’s first settlers! Peter Kelly was the first superintendant of services before the Presbyterian Church was built, and William Kelly was a prominent architect in the area! Now, the Kelly home archives contain one of the most comprehensive historical collections of the Mendocino coastal region and has exhibits on Native American life, shipwrecks, and the lives of the Kelly family! |
