What is it? |
McConnell Arboretum and Gardens make up 200 acres of Mediterranean climate displays, along with a children’s, medicinal, and aquatic garden! |
What makes it beautiful? |
This isn’t a flashy botanical garden by any means, but it does have some really neat highlights, like the Pacific Rim Garden, which uses special plants to teach visitors about water conservation! Most of the plants here are native to California too, so it’s a great place for California residents to get ideas for their own water-wise gardens! It’s an especially great place to wander on a quiet morning, in the shadow of the magnificent Sundial Bridge, and enjoy the art, like Earthstone and the Mosaic Oasis, both by Colleen Barry! |
How can I Help the Helpers? |
HERE’S HOW:
- Pay the entrance fee and contribute toward pathway and plant maintenance, sign design, and other visitor services!
- Volunteer with Turtle Bay Exploration Park!
- Donate to Turtle Bay Exploration Park!
- Be a responsible visitor! Remember the old adages: Pack out what you pack in! Take nothing but pictures and leave nothing but footprints!
