What is it? | The Prince-Garibardi building is a dance studio now! |
What makes it historical? | THE GUIDE SAYS: This structure was erected in 1852 by B. R. Prince and G. Garibardi for a general merchandise business. Improved in 1857 with living quarters on the second floor, it is still used for living and warehouse purposes.
OTHER TIDBITS: While no one seems to know what Mr. Garibardi’s first name was, Mr. Prince was specifically Bartolo Romaggi. Apart from this store, he also ran a quartz mine, a hotel, a silkworm farm, and an untertaking parlor called New Departure! The townsfolk held a dance here to raise funds in order to build the Red Brick Grammar School down the street! |
