What is it? |
The historic Fairview Inn is still open! |
What makes it historical? |
This hotel opened in 1923 to serve folks traveling aboard the Alaskan Railroad! It rose to notoriety after President Warren G. Harding had lunch here, then died of a heart attack a few days later in San Francisco! (Probably not related!) |
How can I Help the Helpers? |
HERE’S HOW:
- Spend the night here!
- Become a member of Talkeetna Historical Society!
- Be a responsible visitor! Please respect the signs and pathways, and treat all structures and artifacts with respect. They’ve endured a lot to survive into the present. They’ll need our help to make it into the future!
