What makes it wonderful? |
Here’s a challenge for you: name 20 historically important men from memory. When you’re done, try the same for women. If you succeeded, pat yourself on the back. If you’re stumped, the National Women’s Hall of Fame is here to help!
Housed in the historic 1844 Seneca Knitting Mill, this Hall of Fame joins New York State’s collection of over twenty National and International Halls, from the well-known National Baseball Hall of Fame to the lesser known National Stuttering Association Hall of Fame. The goal is to bring to light the critical contributions of hundreds of women, especially those who have been overlooked by history!
Featured will be the most recognizable American women (Eleanor Roosevelt, Susan B. Anthony, Amelia Earhart, Harriet Tubman, etc.) alongside those you normally have to dig for (Abby Kelley Foster, Mildred Zaharias, Shirley Chisholm, Ann Bancroft, etc…). What makes this place wonderful is that it is a hall of heroes to inspire current and future generations of women to accomplish amazing things! |
Where is this place? |
