What is it? |
Statue of Liberty National Monument tells the American immigrant story in a tale of two islands! |
What makes it beautiful? |
There’s no way you’re going to visit this monument and not have crowding of some sort, but you can still find beauty here! You’ll see it in the red and white striped towers of Ellis Island and the collections of family treasures from past generations contained within. On both islands, you can sit and watch the boats as they whiz past the Manhattan skyline, sometimes even with Canada geese milling about in the foreground!
Of course, you’ll also be able to appreciate the craftsmanship of Lady Liberty herself as she faces east to welcome new arrivals, as she’s done for a century and a half! If you book really early, you’ll even be able to take in the fantastic views from the tippy top of her crown! |
