What is it? |
The official courthouse of Luna County, New Mexico! |
What makes it historical? |
Built in 1910 under the eye of J.C. Huff and W.B. Corwin, this courthouse held three separate trials for the followers of Pancho Villa after his attack on Columbus, New Mexico and Camp Furlong! These trials raised some brand new questions about international law, because most of the 24 prisoners were captured in Mexico and brought back to the USA for trial! |
How can I Help the Helpers? |
HERE’S HOW:
- Volunteer with the Luna County Historical Society!
- Donate to the Luna County Historical Society!
- Be a responsible visitor! Please respect the signs and pathways, and treat all structures and artifacts with respect. They’ve endured a lot to survive into the present. They’ll need our help to make it into the future!
