What is it? |
Nancy Lincoln Inn was a lodging spot for tourists visiting the birthplace of Abraham Lincoln in the 1920s! |
What makes it historical? |
During the 1920s, the introduction of paved roads brought a boom in tourism to northern Kentucky, especially here at the birthplace of the 16th president! To accommodate pilgrims to this site, Jim Howell launched this American Craftsman inn in 1928 and its surrounding cabins in 1929, naming it after President Lincoln’s mom, Nancy! The period-authentic inn has been in operation ever since, run by Mr. Howell and his descendants! |
