The International Banana Museum!

International Banana Museum
What is it? The International Banana Museum Houses the world’s largest collection of banana-related paraphernalia!
What makes it historical? Officially recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records as the Largest collection of banana-related memorabilia, the International Banana Museum boasts over 25,000 bananas and banana-themed items! It was the brainchild of Ken Bannister, who created the International Banana Club in 1972, converted that club into a museum, then sold the museum to its current owners on the shores of the Salton Sea! Here, you’ll find bunches of banana photos, slippers, furniture, toys, and tchotchkes galore! Plus they have bananas foster ice cream at the counter, which I found super a-peeling!
How can I Help the Helpers? HERE’S HOW:

  • Pay the entrance fee and contribute toward site maintenance, sign design, and other visitor services!
  • Buy something from the shop!
  • Spread the word and invite your friends!
