What is it? |
Today, this is the Into You Piercing and Tattoo parlor! |
What makes it historical? |
The city of Pocatello grew in spurts, first in 1887 when the Utah and Northern Railroad shops moved to Pocatello, next when the land of Fort Hall opened to civilian settlement on June 17, 1902, and lastly, in the mid-1910s when most of downtown got torn down and rebuilt. The A.F.R. Building (short for Albert F. Roulet) arose during this second stage and served as a saloon and apartment. It was a bridge between the heart of downtown and the working class neighborhoods! Also called the Roulet Block, this building is one of the few that survived the Pocatello’s third expansion! |
How can I Help the Helpers? |
HERE’S HOW:
- Volunteer with the Bannock County Historical Museum!
- Be a responsible visitor! Please respect the signs and pathways, and treat all structures and artifacts with respect. They’ve endured a lot to survive into the present. They’ll need our help to make it into the future!
