What Are the Constitution Gardens?
Constitution Gardens include a pond and an island with a memorial to the 56 signers of the Declaration of Independence!
What Makes Them Beautiful?
This is not a super flashy park. In fact, I think that may be the point. There is only a pond surrounded by weeping willows and other deciduous trees, but it’s perfect for reflecting, whether that reflection is the literal Washington Monument or the accomplishments of everyone who had the nerve to break away from the British Empire. Today, it’s a calm oasis at the heart of our nation’s sometimes chaotic capital!
How Can I #HelpTheHelpers?
- Volunteer at the Constitution Gardens!
- Donate to the Trust for the National Mall!
- Be a responsible visitor! Remember the old adages: Pack out what you pack in! Take nothing but pictures and leave nothing but footprints!
