What Is Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts?
This is the only national park that is dedicated to the performing arts: music, theatre, dance, and more!
What Makes It Historical?
This is a multisensory park for sure! Bought up gradually by Mrs. Catherine Filene Shouse, this working farm and refuge for World War II veterans became a public performance space in 1971! Here, folks can enjoy an open-air concert in the super unique Filene Center, and kids of all ages can head deep into the woods for a show at the Children’s Theatre-in-the-Woods! There are all kinds of shows and spectacles to light up a hot summer night, but there are also miles of peaceful pathways winding through the property with native plants and planted flowers to calm the nerves all year long!
How Can I #HelpTheHelpers?
