What Is Voyageurs National Park?
This park preserves and protects the wilderness surrounding three major lakes: Rainy, Namakan, and Kabetogama!
What Makes It Beautiful?
Set sail in the historic wake of French voyageurs, who traversed these grand lakes for over a hundred years! While you thankfully won’t see heaps of beaver pelts on your journey, a visit to Voyageurs National Park promises amazing skylines of clean waters dotted with hundreds of uniquely sculpted, pine-covered islands, ripe for exploring! If the weather is right, be amazed by the reflections of tree and sky, and if you’re lucky, you just might spot some of the park’s 100 species of birds flying by! Whether you’re kayaking in summer or snoeshowing in winter, you’re in for a wild ride through the wilderness visiting Voyageurs National Park. Make sure to bring your bug spray!
