What Is the International Spy Museum?
This is a comprehensive museum of international espionage stories and equipment from the Revolution to modern cyberwarfare!
What Makes It Historical?
Opened in 2002 and upgraded in 2019, The International Spy Museum houses the largest public display of espionage artifacts in the world! Shedding light on the shady realm of intelligence and counter-intelligence, it’s both a place of static cases and interactive adventures! Carry out your own top secret mission by tapping your RFID badge at different stations throughout this 2-level museum, with subjects ranging from historic spies to the many cool gadgets used to steal secrets to comprehensive halls on major eras in spycraft like World War II and the Bay of Pigs Crisis during the Cold War, all the way to modern counter-terrorism and cybersecurity! Could you crack a German Enigma device, or its far more complex Japanese counterpart, Purple? Could you pick out a family of spies hidden in plain sight in your own neighborhood? The International Spy Museum has done an amazing job of peeling the layers off the complex machinations surrounding us at all times, and in the age of AI, it’s only going to get more fascinating!
