National Park of American Samoa

What Is the National Park of American Samoa?

This is the only park in the system on lease to the federal government!

What Makes It Beautiful?

Being made up of steep island cliffs and sea stacks, you can bet your boots that a visit to the National Park of American Samoa comes with some amazing ocean views! On the main island of Tutuila, there are adventurous hikes with exciting rope-guided ladders up and own, plus abundant, neat plants and animals! Look out for huge fruit bats in the sky and even larger coconut crabs by your feet! Try to make it all the way up onto the Maugaloa Ridge for some unparalleled vistas of Pago Pago Harbor, or stick to the coast for some incredible seashells! If you can swing it witth flights, you’ll be spellbound by the park units in the outer Manu’a Islands, but be sure to bring your snorkel to experience the incredible coral reefs!
