Grand Teton National Park!

Grand Teton National Park

What Is Grand Teton National Park?

This park preserves and protects the amazing Teton Mountain Range and its surrounding landscapes!

What Makes It Beautiful?

This is one of the most iconic mountain ranges in the whole USA, particularly the six tallest peaks known collectively as the Cathedral Group! Surrounded by lakes, plains, and forests, these towering mountain landscapes are full of rich ecosystems where tiny, furry caterpillars and pikas share slopes with huge moose and bears! Kayak on calm waters or trek to the most remote glaciers, stop to smell the spring wildflowers or marvel at the autumn colors! These perky Tetons are primed for adventure at any pace!

How Can I #HelpTheHelpers?

  • Pay the entrance fee to help maintain trails, signs, structures, and other visitor services!
  • Volunteer at Grand Teton National Park!
  • Donate to Grand Teton National Park!
  • Be a responsible visitor! Remember the old adages: Pack out what you pack in! Take nothing but pictures and leave nothing but footprints!

How Do I Get There?

With so many places to enter the park, maybe start at the Craig Thomas Discovery and Visitor Center!

When Should I Visit the Park?

There are lots of facilities in this park open at different times of year, so to maximize your chances of doing what you want to do, visit between mid-May and late September! The Craig Thomas Discovery & Visitor Center will be open daily from 9:00 AM until 5:00 PM, and the Jenny Lake Boat Shuttle will be running!
