| What is it? | The little white Estrella Adobe Church still stands! |
| What makes it historical? | THE GUIDE SAYS: This was the first Protestant church to be erected in the northern part of San Luis Obispo County. Construction was completed in 1878, restoration was completed in 1952.
OTHER TIDBITS: This church was part of the Cambria Circuit, a 300-mile network of Methodist churches that took a month to traverse! The bricks were made half a mile away and the lumber hauled over the mountain all the way from San Luis Obispo, 34 miles south! It served the Methodists for about twenty years, then the Mennonites for five years, before falling out of use! |
