What is it? The remaining foundations of the Mission San Buenaventura aqueduct and reservoir system!
What makes it historical? THE GUIDE SAYS: Part of the mission water system for Mission San Buenaventura, this was the settling tank or receiving reservoir from which water was distributed to the church and to the few Spanish families who lived near the mission.

OTHER TIDBITS: This landmark is also listed on the National Register of Historic Places!

Access the reservoir viewpoint by taking the stairs in Valdez Alley just to the left of the museum!

When should I go? You can visit the reservoir whenever you like, but the museum, if it ever opens again, will be open from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM on weekdays, until 4:00 PM on weekends!
