Isle Royale National Park!

Isle Royale National Park

What Is Isle Royale National Park?

Isle Royale is a 46-mile long island of unique wilderness on Lake Superior!

What Makes It Beautiful?

When the weather is calm, treat yourself to a float on glassy, clear lake water, reflecting pine-covered islands where you just might want to pull ashore and explore! There are lakes within lakes here, mountains and valleys, making this a wilderness in miniature! It’s a sanctuary for lush vegetation and berries galore! Likewise, the island’s remoteness has made it very selective for what critters can be found here. Wolves and moose are the only large animals that live here, making this the ideal control spot for the longest-running study of predator-prey relationships in the world! With enough caution, you can enjoy these amazing critters safely, whether hiking, camping, or kayaking around Isle Royale!
