Albany County, Wyoming was established in 1868 and named for Albany, New York, the capital of legislator Charles D. Bradley’s native state! Its county seat is Laramie, and its fair is also held in Laramie! You might recognize the Lincoln Monument, Ames Pyramid, the tiny town of Buford, and the site of Matthew Shepard’s murder, which are located in this county!
