Catoosa County, Georgia was established on December 5, 1853 and named for a Cherokee word meaning “between two hills!” Its county seat is Ringgold, and its fair is also held in Ringgold! You might recognize the Chickamauga Battlefield and Ringgold Depot, and many, many bridges, which are located in this county!
