Córdoba became a province in 1816, one of the original thirteen! It was named by Jerónimo Luis de Cabrera for his wife’s home city of Córdoba, Spain! Its capital and largest city is Córdoba! You may recognize the Jesuit Block and Estancias, Che Guevara Museum, Eden Hotel, and the mysterious Zapato of Capilla del Monte, which are located in this province!
