Emery County, Utah was established on February 12, 1880 and named for Utah’s 11th governor, George W. Emery! Its county seat is Castle Dale, and its fair is also held in Castle Dale! You might recognize Goblin Valley State Park, Black Dragon Canyon, the Cleveland-Lloyd Dinosaur Quarry, Little Wild Horse Canyon, the San Rafael Swell, and tons of rock art panels, which are located in this county!
