Tierra del Fuego became a province in 1990, the youngest of Argentina’s provinces! It was named by Ferdinand Magellan for the cooking fires he saw on shore while sailing by! Its capital and largest city is Ushuaia! You may recognize Tierra del Fuego National Park, the Museum of the End of the World, the Les Eclaireurs lighthouse, which are located in this province!
