Tooele County, Utah was established on January 31, 1850 and possibly named for a Native American chief, the Goshute word for bear (tu-wanda), or for tule reeds! Its county seat is Tooele, and its fair is held in Grantsville! You might recognize Danger Cave, Simpson Springs Pony Express Station, and the Bonneville Salt Flats Race Track, which are located in this county!
