Uintah County, Utah was established on February 18, 1880 and named for the Ute Tribe, whose reservation is in part this county! Its county seat is Vernal, and its fair is also in Vernal! You might recognize the Utah Field House of Natural History State Park Museum, Vernal’s Dinah the Dinosaur, Fantasy Canyon, and the Utah side of Dinosaur National Monument, which are located in this county!
