National Women’s Hall of Fame!

National Women's Hall of Fame
What is it? The National Women’s Hall of Fame is a center for showcasing the stories of amazing women, past and present!
What makes it wonderful? Here’s a challenge for you: name 20 historically important men from memory. When you’re done, try the same for women. If you succeeded, pat yourself on the back. If you’re stumped, the National Women’s Hall of Fame is here to help!

Housed in the historic 1844 Seneca Knitting Mill, this Hall of Fame joins New York State’s collection of over twenty National and International Halls, from the well-known National Baseball Hall of Fame to the lesser known National Stuttering Association Hall of Fame. The goal is to bring to light the critical contributions of hundreds of women, especially those who have been overlooked by history!

Featured will be the most recognizable American women (Eleanor Roosevelt, Susan B. Anthony, Amelia Earhart, Harriet Tubman, etc.) alongside those you normally have to dig for (Abby Kelley Foster, Mildred Zaharias, Shirley Chisholm, Ann Bancroft, etc…). What makes this place wonderful is that it is a hall of heroes to inspire current and future generations of women to accomplish amazing things!

How can I Help the Helpers? HERE’S HOW:

  • Pay the entrance fee to help maintain trails, signs, structures, and other visitor services!
  • Become a member of the National Women’s Hall of Fame!
  • Donate to the National Women’s Hall of Fame!
  • Be a responsible visitor! Please respect the signs and pathways, and treat all structures and artifacts with respect. They’ve endured a lot to survive into the present. They’ll need our help to make it into the future!
