What is it? The reconstructed home of Don José Maria Estudillo!
What makes it historical? THE GUIDE SAYS: Three generations of Don José María Estudillo’s family made their home in Casa de Estudillo. Rich in historical background, the casa is often pointed out, erroneously, as Ramona’s marriage place.

OTHER TIDBITS: José Estudillo was a man of means! He was the revenue collector, treasurer, mayor, and judge of Old Town under Mexico, and treasurer/assessor of San Diego County after the United States took over!

This landmark is also listed on the National Register of Historic Places!
