Overton Building!

Overton Building
Landmark #610 Sacramento County Visited: March 22, 2015 Plaque?  NO. 🙁
What is it? Nothing but a parking structure!
What makes it historical? THE GUIDE SAYS: This building was constructed in 1852 and was occupied in the 1850s by various state offices and commercial companies.

OTHER TIDBITS: Unfortunately, I can’t find any other information on the Overton building, other than the fact that it was flattened to make room for the I-5 freeway, which, for some reason, needed to go directly through Old Sacramento!

How can I Help the Helpers? HERE’S HOW:

  • Volunteer with the Sacramento History Museum!
  • Donate to the Sacramento History Museum!
  • Be a responsible visitor! Please respect the signs and pathways, and treat all structures and artifacts with respect. They’ve endured a lot to survive into the present. They’ll need our help to make it into the future!
