On November 13, 1974, Ron DeFeo, Jr. shot his parents and his four siblings in their beds around 3:15 in the morning! He changed his story multiple times during trial, but his lawyer argued that he had acted on the direction of “voices!”
Thirteen months after the murders, George and Kathy Lutz moved in to the house but only stayed for 28 days! They reported all kinds of horrifying things beyond just voices. There was green ooze coming from the walls, a pig-like creature staring in through the windows, all kinds of things getting knocked off shelves! The kids even levitated off the beds at one point!
Though it’s widely suspected that the Lutzes, who were in financial trouble, made up the story and profited mightily from the subsequent book and movies, the son, Daniel, still holds that the house ruined him. Whether or not there were ghosts, this house contains pure horror! |
