Gila Cliff Dwellings National Monument!

Gila Cliff Dwellings National Monument
What is it? Gila Cliff Dwellings National Monument preserves the ancient cliffside homes of the Mogollon people!
What makes it beautiful? These five caves are nestled up in a canyon at the headwaters of the Gila River, so the trail runs along a little stream through lush forest until it opens up to view the dwellings themselves. From inside the dwellings, there are magnificently framed views of the surrounding canyon, along with ancient preserved art! You can climb up on ladders and peer into the rooms to imagine what life was like when the Mimbres people called this place home!
