Utah became the 45th state of the Union on January 4, 1896! It’s named after the Ute tribe, but you can also call it The Beehive State! Its capital and largest city is Salt Lake City! Utah’s state motto is “Industry!” This state is famous for its ski resorts and red rock, Sundance Film Festival, Delicate Arch, Bryce Canyon, and Canyonlands National Park, for Lake Powell, the Golden Spike, the Kennecott Copper Mine, and as headquarters of the LDS Church!
