Its capital is Richmond, and its largest city is Virginia Beach! Virginia’s state motto is “Sic Semper Tyrannis!” This state is famous for the Jamestown and Williamsburg colonial sites, the story of Pocahontas, Mount Vernon, Appomattox Courthouse, Shenandoah National Park, and the battlefields of Manassas, Fredericksburg/Spotsylvania, Richmond, and Petersburg!
