Bexar County, Texas was established on December 20, 1836 and named for the Presidio San Antonio de Béxar, which guarded the missions! Its county seat is San Antonio, and it doesn’t have a county fair! You might recognize the Alamo, San Antonio Missions National Historical Park, the San Antonio Riverwalk, Wonder World Park, Bracken Cave, and the Natural Bridge Caverns, which are located in this county!
